SSSEWWT Flood Relief Project, 6th and 7th of December, 2021

December 6, 2021

Bringing in a lot of cheer and providing succour to over a thousand, flood ravaged, victims of Puttaparthi, was the Sri Sathya Sai Easwaramma Women’s Welfare Trust’s (SSSEWWT), Flood Relief Project.

4 large trucks, laden with relief material, lined up, in front of the South Indian Canteen, just inside the Gopuram gate of Prashanthi Nilayam at 8.30 am on the 6th of December, 2021. Soon after the morning Mangal Aarti, offered to Bhagwan in the Sai Kulwant Hall, another Aarti was offered to our Lord by Mr. K. Chakravarthi, the senior most member of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust; who then, very graciously, flagged off the convoy.

Mr. Chakravarthi was kind enough to accompany Ms Chethana Raju, trustee, SSSEWWT, to the Sai Nagar area of Puttaparthi, even distributing some of the items. He delighted the recipients by his mere presence. Ms Chethana Raju too, distributed the items to over 200 households, personally visiting each house, and handing over the items.

The relief materials included a large bag of groceries and two soft, flannel blankets. The recipients, who had recently lost a lot of their belongings to the flood fury, received the gifts with a lot of gratitude, and happiness. Joyful shouts of, “Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba ki Jai”, (Glory to Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba), sporadically rent the air, charging the atmosphere with sanctity and joy.

Thanks to the assistance of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation, facilitated by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, the entire distribution was completed successfully. Disciplined and dedicated Seva Dals, distributed the items to Sai Nagar and Rayalolapalli areas of Puttaparthi, on the 6th and 7th of December, 2021, respectively.
