As a part of the Gurupurnima celebrations, The SSSEWWT organized a function in the Sai Kulwant Hall this evening benefitting hundreds of villagers under the various schemes run by the Trust.

After the regular Vedam Chanting, the programme commenced at 1700 hrs, with a devotional number presented by one of the staffers, Ms Ragini Ramachandran. She mellifluously sang a solo number, “Jabse Maine Sai Paaya...Mera Jeevan Badal Badal Gaya...” (Ever since I have found Sai, my life has changed) to a thundering applause.

Addressing the August Gathering, Founder and Managing Trustee of SSSEWWT, Ms Chethana Raju spoke on the salient features of the Trust activities, enumerating the statistical highlights of various service wings of the Trust. Ms. Madhuri Naganand, another Founder Trustee, in her brief address spoke about how Bhagawan had guided the various service projects being undertaken by the Trust. A series of short speeches by selected beneficiaries followed, intertwined by a solo poetic rendering in Telugu, the tone and tenor being that of immense love and gratitude to Bhagawan.

Even as the ‘bhajans’ continued, scholarships for 30 meritorious students, selected by the Trust from a total of 133 applicants, were announced. Simultaneously, 10,000 notebooks for school children were distributed and 500 keys of Sanitation Units built for villagers in the mandals of Puttaparthy, Kothacheruvu, Bukkapatnam and Nallamada were handed over to the beneficiaries by the SSSEWWT Trustees and staff.

‘Mangala Arathi’ to Bhagawan completed the Programme for the evening.
